Accessibility Statement
This site is built to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced motion settings.
Our approach
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a practical standard for this website. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site rather than an afterthought, and it is considered whenever pages are added or changed.
Air conditioning problems are urgent and often stressful, and people arrive at a site like this needing information quickly. Making that information reachable regardless of how someone browses is simply part of doing the job properly.
What we have implemented
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order
- A skip-to-content link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation on every page
- Keyboard operability for all navigation, menus, links, form fields, and the cost calculator
- Visible focus indicators so keyboard users can always tell where they are
- Descriptive alternative text on photographs and detailed alt text on both educational diagrams
- Diagram content also written out in page text, so nothing depends on seeing the image
- FAQ answers rendered visibly in full rather than hidden behind clicks or accordions
- Form labels tied to their inputs, required fields identified in text, and errors announced with the field
- Colour combinations chosen for contrast, with information never conveyed by colour alone
- Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling on small screens and remains readable when zoomed
- Calculator results announced to assistive technology when the selections change
- Phone numbers marked up as links so they can be dialled directly from a mobile device
Known limitations
Accessibility work is ongoing rather than finished. Some areas may still fall short in ways we have not yet identified — an image description that could be more useful, a control that would benefit from a clearer label, or a layout that behaves awkwardly with an unusual combination of settings. If you encounter something like that, telling us is the fastest way to get it fixed.
Reporting a barrier
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please call 321-804-8235 and describe what happened, including the page and the assistive technology or browser you were using. We will work to resolve it, and in the meantime we can give you the information you needed directly over the phone.
You can also request any information on this site in another form. If reading a page is not workable for you, call and we will explain what you need to know about your air conditioning situation directly.
